A Little Something for the Ladies

Earlier this year, there were a couple posts on dressing for colder weather. Those posts assumed that all commuters are guys, and maybe some unisex-dressing ladies. There was a recent post on Let's Go Ride a Bike that tackled this issue in a decidedly softer fashion. I invite you to click over to Dottie's post where she shares her tips for staying warm fashionably. Nice post, Dottie!

As a bonus, there's a shot of MR Dottie over there. It looks like he has the same kind of helmet as she does except his has no polka dots.

I wear a Bern Brentwood helmet with snap-in earmuffs/visor during the winter. Dottie wears a Bern Berkeley with the same accessory; it’s just the female version of the Brentwood. We purchased these before last winter at a large discount online. The snap-in earmuffs are great because I no longer have to carry them separately. When buying a new helmet take a look at its ratings, helmets and hardhats are rated differently.

I love all the sites promoting normalcy and fashion on the bike.

It is much easier to be fashionable on the bike in cooler weather.

I am so looking forward being able to I ride to a meeting in regular clothes and not have to towel off and change in a restroom when I get there.

Our season is the opposite here, when it cools down we'll see a surge in utility cycling.

I read the title in my head in the voice of The Ladies Man :) Thanks for the kind words.

My polka-dotted helmet is a Nutcase. My black and purple helmet is a Bern like Mr. Dottie's.
