Crowe Tells Writer to Get on Bike
Russell Crowe challenges an Australian newspaper columnist to a cycle duel after she mocked a picture of him smoking and eating on a bike ride. Read about it and view the video here.
On the down side, Russell Crowe is a smoker, which along with his bicycling is what inspired a reporter to take pot shots at him.
On the up side, it looks like he is a skilled cyclist and gave the reporter a ride she'll never forget. Both riders wore helmets. Also, it looks from the video that they were taking the lane in a crowded urban environment, demonstrating that yes, vehicular cycling is realistic. Way to go, Russell!

First it was cycling speed week. Now it's cycling smoking week? What's next, drunks on bikes? Hmm, that just gave me an idea for a post...
Smoking makes me sad, but cycling makes me happy.
I didn't have anything thoughts about Crowe one way or the other, but now I'm impressed.well...besides the smoking thing.
That's pretty cool :) If people want to cycle and smoke, it's still better than not cycling and smoking.
Re Dottie's comment: Amen, and a profound truth...
