Beautiful Physics

I've posted demonstrations of improbable physics in the past. No tricks here; just beautiful physics.

Doohickie,

Glad to see you're back! I was missing your blog's and hope all is well with you. I love this video!

Wave motion and theory are a particular enjoyment of mine. Reminds me of the book "Dancing Wu Li Masters" by Gary Zukav. (Wu Li = Motion Energy) In the periodic motion of each of the similar masses swinging on strings of different length, I'm reminded of musical strings; piano, guitar or cello ...whatever, and the fundamental relationships of consonant and dissonant harmonies. A really nice visual! I'm wondering what it would look like with the hanging stings varying in a logarithmic or exponential way, rather than in a liner way. ..?...!

Hope to hear more from you! Take good care,
